METROCON TO HOST NEW TOURNAMENT: GGX - GEAR GRAPPLING XTREME

“A mysterious fight organizer grown tired of the rules, limits, & bounds that have plagued combat sports has created an underground fight tournament known as GGX Gear Grappling Xtreme, where there are absolutely NO RULES. Chairs, Tables, Bats, WHATEVER!!! An elite crew of fighters have been chosen to express their colorful way of combat acumen in an 8-man tournament for the coveted open weight title, the GGX Championship-Prime. Time for the athletic commissions to take a flaming barbwire bat to the face for The Gear has gone…XTREME!!!”

METROCON is proud to bring you a brand new style of show this year, called GGX: Gear Grappling Xtreme! This show has its roots in the golden age of professional wrestling, when the good guys could go toe-to-toe with superheroes, and the villains threatened world-ending doom if they won the match. This over-the-top, involving form of entertainment should blend right in with METROCON’s already fast-paced, intense stage shows and other events, and we hope to provide everybody exposure to a genre they may or may not already have an interest in, but will certainly enjoy!

Keep an eye out for more information coming soon (including a sneak peak at some of the characters you expect to see present) for what is sure to be a favorite event among both those who remember the over-the-top characters and excessive storylines of professional wrestling in its glory days, and those who have yet to be introduced or might even be doubtful of its entertainment value.

GGX Gear Grappling Extreme Fighter Press Conference & Q&A:

The elite fighters of the Gear Grappling Xtreme tournament will be introduced in a press conference. They will promote themselves then answer questions asked by the members of the audience.

Elite fighters have been chosen by a mysterious booker to compete in a no holds barred, no rules tournament to prove who will be worthy of becoming the first GGX Prime Champion.
